ALIENS vs PREDATOR 2010 game Review

It left me unsatisfied. Why is it so hard for the producers of these after movie games to come up with something original about the storyline. Oh common, it has good graphics, it has some nice environments, but the story is like so pointless. They look good, the predators, the aliens, but the marines look like plastic figures - I mean you just want to kill them, to shoot them, to eat them, or to slash them - they are asking for it. Marines are slow, poorly equipped, barely making out alive from any situation, and that make it intense in close quarters. Aliens are pretty nice, but only in melee, being an alien, you don't prefer confrontation believe, only when you have no choice, oh, and you can't move on the walls as far up as you want to - being an alien sucks a bit when on closed spaces with heavy duty marines. Anyway, without vents and dark places, you are a good practice target. and don't go killing predators without a strategy. It will kick your ass if you don't have other distractions. In the end you become a queen on a human ship, but you don't get to play as a queen alien, just as a warrior. Pretty short campaign if you ask me.
As a Predator is fun to play. It reminds me of Crysis a lot. Jumping high, turning invisible, humans can't really see you, humans are easy targets, blasting them, taking their spine as a trophy, or their head to gain access to some areas. As a predator you can sneak past marines, because they are stupid and deserve to be killed, but when it comes to stationary turrets and aliens you are very visible. Stay away from turrets if you can, and try to survive 5 to 12 aliens at once coming for you from all directions, believe me, it sucks being attacked by a squad of angry aliens. 2 or 3 you can handle at once. You kick one, you shoot one and you slash the other one, then you grab one, you finish him, then hoot and grab and slash more until your done. Running is usually good.
The bosses, as a marine you get to kill Bishop the annoying android. As an alien you get to kill some big heavy duty Predator. As a Predator you get to kill an abomination, yes, that's right, an alien with Predator DNA, it looks like an alien had a child with a Predator, but actually a face-huger spent some time with a fallen Predator. So you see how the story sucks. No big surprise. No big purposes. It's just dull in there. I am sure they thought multiplayer first and after that singleplayer.

Status: 1 time kill, borrow it, try it, play it, have some pointless fun, but don't loose time with it, it's better to wait for the producers to come up with something worthwhile of a story for this AVP games. My conclusion is that AVP2 was the better.
