Alpha Protocol Review

What can I say, I'm a fan of spy movies and conspiracies and stories and this game is a little gem. You all know how I want a cool and emotional story in my games, well it happened in this one. You are special agent Michael Thornton recruited by Alpha Protocol. You are betrayed by your agency, considered rogue, pursued and all. Mina, your collegue is trying to help you from the inside of Alpha Protocol. You meet interesting spooky and dangerous people as you try to reestablish your name and protect the world from a Cold War or even a World War 3. On my game i had the opportunity for 3 romantic encounters with Mina, Scarlet, and the blond helping chick Madison. My advice is do not save her after you sleep with it, just stop the bombing and the civilian casualties - reason - she brakes up with you anyway. Oh and Scarlet is a spy too, the spy that killed the president in Taipei. But she is willing to help you in the last mission, and she is a beautiful broad, so just let her live - it's better not having her beautiful face on your conscience. The short haired blond chick SIE - I guess you can make love with her too, but depends on your choosing, because you loose points with Mina when you make pretty eyes to some other sexy chick. Sis is a mute, so it's kind of naughty just to think about it. I spared her life and allied with Albatros into helping me with missions and advices. In fact I spared the life of almost all my enemies, except Henry Leland - I got tired of his coward macho face, and I decided to put his misery to an end - the best thing I did all game, except sleeping with the 3 chicks (to think they only showed kissing - I wonder where is the naked uncensored patch, doesn't this game has a hot coffee patch or something?). Anyway, liked the game, this is how all James Bond games should be, or all the stealth Splinter Cell games. Great work SEGA. Sega really started to grow on me. I started to love some of their titles on pc last year. Now to the style of the game. 3 main cities: Rome, Moscow and Taipei, and Halbech Corporation/Alpha Protocol main base, and some other far locations. Nice set of weapons, many different kinds of weapons to buy from, upgrades for weapons, 3 bullet types for each upgradable weapon, guns, assault rifles, shotguns and UZIs  (don't really know how to name them).  Lots and lots of conversations. Do not fall asleep because you have a limited time to select how to answer to a conversation, or to choose the fate of an enemy for example, so pay attention at all times. Cool info system, collect information from conversations, from missions, from the black market, and from the email you change with your "buddies", sell anything and buy anything. I forgot to tell  you, yes you can have any kind of armor, buy information to help you on missions, respond to some emails how you want, professional or naughty. Watch the news to see if there is any word on you missions. Upgrade Michael Thornton from karate to shooting and stealth perks, gaining special abilities which you activate and do really cool stuff in a mission. This one has a bigger rate of re-playability then Splinter Cell or 007 James Bond, and gets you addictive in the first hour.

SCORES

Graphics - 8 (Nvidia 3D Vision - nice)

Gameplay - 8

Feeling -8

Story -10

Size - 2 dvd-dl - 10gb

TOTAL 8+

Status: buy it, it's worth it, play it, pretend you are Sidney Bristow in Alias or something, shoot and negotiate with the bad guys, make some friends, some intimate contacts, some enemies, kill that talky bastard, be good or bad or naughty, add it to the spy shooting conspiracy action games if you want - it's a must for that type of collection. In Alpha Protocol 2, I hope Sega will improve a little the combat system, the bug with deformed deceased bodies, and I will be expecting a nice story, even nicer than this one.
